Act of Contrition

 

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all-good and deserving of all my love.  I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.  Amen. 

Why Do Catholics Do That radio show always encourages the faithful to pray since prayer is a powerful tool which brings the benefits of God upon us through the grace of the Holy Spirit. 

 

Prayer to Saint Michael

 

Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.  May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God thurst into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.  Amen.

Angel of God, my guardian dear, To who His love commits me here,
